I wanted to wait a few days before talking to you about Patrik Laine, just to see if I was the only one who found this borderline unacceptable. But judging by what's been said over the past few days in the media covering the Montreal Canadiens, it seems I'm not alone.
You've probably seen that rather strange gesture made by Patrik Laine after
Cole Caufield's tying goal against the Nashville Predators:
"That's a photo of the Canadiens' bench after Cole Caufield's tying goal vs Nashville in the third period.
You can see the joy on every player's face well, on every player's face except one (Laine)"

Well, I wanted us to talk about it a bit now that we've had some time to reflect-mainly to get your opinion on the matter.
A strange gesture from Patrik Laine that people are still talking about today
They were still discussing it
this morning on BPM Sports, but I admit that I'm running out of arguments to defend Patrik Laine on this one.
Even Martin St-Louis, who always works so hard to stay calm and control his emotions, completely let go after Caufield's goal.
Why did everyone completely erupt with joy after Cole Caufield's famous tying goal-EXCEPT Laine?
I didn't want to react in the heat of the moment on Friday, Saturday, or even yesterday, but after a few days, I still have trouble understanding it, and I admit I'm extremely curious to know your opinion on this situation.
Maybe it's just his personality, and we absolutely need to respect that, but I really have a hard time understanding how Laine could stay stoic, completely emotionless, and comfortably seated on the bench during such an absolutely incredible moment:
Do you think fans are overreacting, or does Laine's reaction reveal something bigger?
