One year ago, the Montreal Canadiens and the Los Angeles Kings announced a trade involving the Kings' first-round pick.

That trade ultimately allowed the Habs to land Michael Hage.
Could they do it again this year?
Will Kent Hughes acquire the Kings' first-round pick for a second straight year?

Los Angeles Kings GM Ken Holland Openly Reveals His Asking Price for the 24th Overall Pick

If the Montreal Canadiens decide they want to acquire the Kings' pick again, this time they'll need to give up a top-9 forward in return.
"Holland admits he's open to trading, possibly in a package, the 24th overall pick in exchange for a top-9 forward."

- David Pagnotta

That's the asking price!
So if the Canadiens were to add the 24th overall pick, Kent Hughes would be giving up a top-9 NHL forward in the deal.
Do you think that could be worth it?
Among Montreal's top-9 forwards are names like Josh Anderson, Alex Newhook, Patrik Laine, and Kirby Dach-any of whom could potentially be in play, depending on what the Kings are looking for.
This is definitely a situation to watch heading into draft night!
If it were your call, would you trade someone like Josh Anderson to land a third first-round pick in 2025 (the 24th overall) and clear some cap space ahead of July 1st?
