Nazem Kadri's name has been linked to the Montreal Canadiens in some trade rumors for a few weeks now.
However, it seems that the Canadiens' interest in the 34-year-old forward is not there, and that Kent Hughes has no intention of acquiring him even if he would be an excellent short-term option for the second-line center position.
David Pagnotta Weighs In on the Possibility of an Imminent Trade for the Montreal Canadiens Involving the Calgary Flames Center
"The Flames want to improve. And that's also why
Rasmus Andersson wasn't traded."

It's probably for this reason that defenseman Rasmus Andersson is still a member of the Flames, as he has been part of numerous trade rumors in recent weeks.
With a season of 67 points, including 35 goals, Nazem Kadri finished first in scoring on his team, and it would be a bit illogical to trade him-especially since the Flames had an excellent 2024-2025 season.
Last year, the Alberta team came very close to making the playoffs, finishing the season with 96 points-the same total as the St. Louis Blues, who made the playoffs because they had three more wins.
