While they were already lacking depth in goal, the Los Angeles Kings have just announced major news.
Season over for goaltender Copley
This will shake up the NHL trade market for goaltenders!

Indeed, this is a major announcement from the Kings, who lose their goaltender for the entire season.
Copley, 31, had a record of 24-6-3 last season, and 4-1-2 this season in Los Angeles.
The Kings will now apparently have to turn to the trade market and offer something interesting to acquire a goaltender.
They cannot afford to go into the playoffs with their current tandem, according to many.
A trade with the Montreal Canadiens? The #1 team to watch!
Could they target Jake Allen or Cayden Primeau from the Montreal Canadiens? In any case, a trade between Kent Hughes and the Kings becomes more and more possible.
With their financial situation and very little room under the NHL salary cap, they might aim more for Primeau, but stay tuned.
Primeau, 24, has a record of 4-4-0 this season, a goals-against average of 3.30 and a save percentage of .898. He earns $890,000 per year until 2025.
