There's a sequence involving Patrik Laine on the Montreal Canadiens' bench that has sparked a lot of reactions on social media.

We're obviously talking about the following controversial sequence:
"You can see the joy on every player's face well, on every player's face except one (Laine)"

- Max Truman"
Following the dramatic game-tying goal scored by Cole Caufield against the Nashville Predators, all the players and coaches jumped for joy on the Canadiens' bench-except Laine...
The Finnish forward didn't even seem to show the slightest reaction.
In short, it caused quite a stir in Montreal.

TVA Sports journalist Anthony Martineau reveals the truth about Patrik Laine's behavior in the locker room, specifically after this win against Nashville

See his post:
"I read all sorts of things about Patrik Laine.

He was present at the last game. He celebrated the victory with his buddies in the locker room.

He's on the sidelines, but he's not giving up on the team.

Let's not fall, as too often, into melodrama."

- Anthony Martineau
He mentions that Laine did celebrate the victory, like everyone else, with his teammates in the Montreal Canadiens' locker room afterward.
Laine's behavior in the locker room was therefore visibly very different from what we saw on camera (above)... Thankfully!
It's worth noting that Laine is currently sidelined with a lower-body injury and didn't even travel with his teammates out West.
He will be replaced by Joshua Roy after being called up from the Rocket.
It's certainly a disappointing start to the season for Laine, but we sincerely hope he bounces back as quickly as possible, especially since he's currently in the final year of his contract.
