The news is not good for Montreal Canadiens forward Patrik Laine.

Now we finally have more concrete news to share with you, and unfortunately, it's not good news.

Worrisome development involving Patrik Laine

Here's what was just announced:
"Patrik Laine has gone for a second opinion on his lower-body injury. We'll see where that leads him. Still listed as day-to-day."

- Eric Engels
Indeed, things are looking very bad for Laine...
"Patrik Laine is seeking a second opinion on his injury." - TVA sports
Why is this such a bad sign?
It's pretty simple. If Laine has requested a second medical opinion-just like he did last year for his serious knee injury-it's because the first opinion clearly didn't satisfy him.
In other words, he's looking for other solutions and alternatives.
"Interesting, guess that's why he's not on the trip I guess, he did get a second opinion on his knee injury last year as well "

- Karine Hains, The Hockey News
Unfortunately, this smells like a long-term absence for Laine.
In any case, Joshua Roy will be replacing Laine in the meantime. Let's hope he plays well on the road!
This is a major story to keep an eye on!
