Curious announcement from Hughes that explains the last-minute addition of Emil Heineman
Yesterday, the Montreal Canadiens added forward Emil Heineman to their NHL lineup, but as Luc Gélinas from RDS points out, there was a curious aspect.
The organization announced this as an emergency call-up.
«Assuming that RHP is able to return to the game Wednesday in Philadelphia, this justifies the curious 'emergency' call-up of Heineman. Because it couldn't have been for Dvorak who is done for the year.»
- Luc Gélinas, RDS
This explains that. Heineman is thus in Montreal only "awaiting" the return of Rafael Harvey-Pinard.
And with what we've seen today, clearly, RHP's return to the lineup is imminent.
In any case, Heineman will be in uniform tonight and he must give his all, because his stay with the Habs could be short-lived.
