Last-minute surprising signing alert for Alexis Lafrenière
Alexis Lafrenière has just signed a two-season contract with an annual value of $2.325 million with the New York Rangers.
Let's just say that's not a lot of money for a recent 1st overall pick.
This puts an end to the rumors of an Offer sheet, and the Quebecer forward will officially have two years to prove himself to the New York management.
Lafrenière, 21 years old, amassed 39 points in 81 games last season with the Rangers and did not score any points in 7 playoff games.
He was drafted 1st overall in 2020 by the Rangers.
