The Florida Panthers have won the Stanley Cup for the second year in a row.
Last night, with a 5-1 victory over the Edmonton Oilers and Connor McDavid, they were able to hoist the coveted trophy for a second consecutive year, officially placing themselves in the conversation among the great modern dynasties of the NHL.
Aleksander Barkov lifts the Stanley Cup and an interesting gesture follows
I love noticing these kinds of subtle gestures.
After captain Aleksander Barkov lifted the Stanley Cup, he handed the trophy to Nate Schmidt (who had never won the Cup), and Schmidt then passed it to Seth Jones (who had also never won), and so on!
Wow!

It sparked plenty of reactions!
It's a subtle move, but it says a lot about the spirit of this Stanley Cup-winning team.
"The Panthers giving the Cup to all the first-time winners first, no matter how marginal, is just fantastic."

It really is a fantastic little touch!
We want to congratulate all the new Stanley Cup champions, including Quebec's AJ Greer, and all the Florida Panthers players for yet another impressive conquest.
