Here's something we don't see often, even in the playoffs, involving the Montreal Canadiens and the Washington Capitals.

Probably because of the following sequence..
Now, TVA Sports journalist Renaud Lavoie has just shared a big update.

Gary Bettman and the National Hockey League Have Issued a Serious Warning to the Montreal Canadiens and the Capitals

You read that right.
A message was sent before Game 4 of this series between the Habs and the Caps.
"The NHL told management of the Canadiens and the Capitals to be more careful during warmups, tv timeouts and after the end of a period. League didn't like the incidents that happened during last game."

- Renaud Lavoie, TVA Sports

It's the first time I've seen this, and the first time I've heard of the NHL authorities having to step in during a series, but I love it.
Expect the referees to be strict tonight.
All this is great, but if you ask me, it's absolutely not going to change the way Josh Anderson and Tom Wilson play.
The only thing this might change is possibly how the referees will manage things if there are more incidents tonight.
But I'll say it again.. I really don't see Martin St-Louis going to Josh Anderson or Arber Xhekaj and telling them to calm down (same goes for Spencer Carbery with Tom Wilson).
