The 6-Year-Old Son of a Former Canadiens Player Is Battling Cancer and Raising Funds for Research

As my colleague Cimon Asselin (RDT) also reports, Ryan White experienced a terrible nightmare upon learning that his son Gordie has.. incurable cancer.

Just writing that gives me chills down my back and brings tears to my eyes.

However, it's so important to talk about the absolutely incredible and inspiring courage of young Gordie.

To see a little 6-year-old boy show such courage and try to make a difference for others is truly one of the most inspiring things I have ever seen in my life.

I will remember this story for a long time. Gordie White is a true little warrior.

It was in 2022 that the White family's life was completely turned upside down, when Gordie was diagnosed with DIPG, an incurable brain tumor.

We want to send the biggest wave of courage and support to Gordie, and also to the entire White family.

Ryan White is currently caring for his little boy full-time.

According to the most recent news we have, Gordie is stable and continues his fight admirably. The young man is also working very hard to raise funds that will go to research.

So, in addition to fighting his own battle against the illness, he's working hard to raise donations.. Wow!

Last year, little Gordie donated $14,000 to a doctor at CancerCare Manitoba.. $14,000!
