After Dillon Dube (Calgary Flames) and Carter Hart (Philadelphia Flyers), another hockey player suddenly has to leave his team for personal reasons.
This time, it's the forward of HC Ambri-Piotta (in Switzerland) Alex Formenton who is leaving his team environment for an indefinite period.

Formenton, 24 years old, is a 47th overall pick (2nd round) of the Ottawa Senators in 2017. He collected 32 points (18 goals) in 79 NHL games in 2022, but he did not sign with any NHL team afterwards.
He then headed to Switzerland, where he accumulated 30 points in 46 games with Ambri-Piotta.
