A couple of nights ago Toronto Maple Leafs star forward Mitch Marner suffered an injury. At the time of the injury, it was unknown exactly what Marner was dealing with. This evening we finally got an update about what Marner is dealing with.
A report written by Maple Leafs journalist David Alter has confirmed that Mitch Marner is dealing with a high ankle sprain. According to the reports surrounding this diagnosis, Marner is day to day for the time being.
If the ankle sprain for Marner is truly a mild one then the expected recovery is anywhere from one to three weeks. With the medical staff that professional sports teams have sooner rather than lately is likely. However, with a sprain, they often take much longer to fully heal.
