BREAKING: Young Defenseman Suspended From Canadiens Affiliate
In the last few minutes, a young defenseman who was part of the Montreal Canadiens organization, with the Trois-Rivières Lions, has been suspended.
We're talking about the young Markuss Komuls here.
"The Trois-Rivières Lions have placed defenseman Markuss Komuls on the suspended players list with the intention of removing him from the lineup.
He will leave to pursue other opportunities in his home country."
- Trois-Rivières Lions
So, it seems to be a mutual parting between Komuls and the organization, as there will be one less defenseman in the system, notably for the Laval Rocket.
Komuls, 26 years old, a right-handed defenseman, has gathered seven points in 48 games this season (two goals), who has also collected 18 points in 65 meetings, in the NCAA.
The Latvian native will therefore be going back home, and we might see him again during international events.
Best of luck, Markuss!
