As reported by my colleague Alex Desrosiers, a trade has just been completed between the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Los Angeles Kings.

This is a deal that was made at the most recent trade deadline, but has just been finalized.

Reminder: Goalie Joonas Korpisalo and defenseman Vladislav Gavrikov, formerly of the Blue Jackets, were acquired by the Los Angeles Kings on March 1st.

In exchange, Columbus received Jonathan Quick as well as a conditional first-round pick in 2023.

We can now officially remove the condition.

Now that the Kings have officially qualified for the 2023 playoffs, the Blue Jackets will receive a first-round pick in 2023 (L.A.'s pick).

The Kings' first-round pick has officially passed to the Jackets today.

This is an important addition for Columbus, which is in the running for Connor Bedard and will now be able to draft again in the first round of this very talented 2023 class.
