Former Toronto Maple Leafs player and now emerging analyst Jay Rosehill has shared some insight after finding a worrisome clip on what could be the leading injury cause that is preventing Auston Matthews from playing games 5 and 6 in the series between the Boston Bruins and the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Jay Rosehill took his talents to X and shared what could be the reason Matthews has gone out of the lineup due to a potential injury:
My two cents on Auston Matthews
Had a hard crash into the boards in game 80
Was rattled but played through it. As he did, symptoms came up and got worse.
They shut him down. Not messing around with a franchise player
This has gotta be where Auston Matthews got hurt , collided with *** Nylander and hits the back of his head on the boards. Looking back could easily be a concussion. Meaningless *** game and now we don't have him for the playoffs
In the fan's defense, many were calling on Sheldon Keefe to keep Matthews out of the lineup in the final games of the regular season despite his quest to hit the 70 goal plateau.
