Would you look at that, a Maple Leaf wants a high-salary contract that he's not worth. That's right, Mitch Marner is asking for an outrageous pay raise according to a new report.

Trusted NHL insider David Pagnotta revealed on Leafs Morning Take that Mitch Marner's new salary demands could exceed those of Auston Matthews, and potentially land in the $15 million-a-year range.

"If [Marner] puts up another 100-point season or close to it, and Nylander's getting $10M and Auston's getting $14M... $15M for Mitch?" - David Pagnotta

While we can't say we're surprised by Marner's outlandish ask, we have to wonder who will be doing his negotiations, his agent or his father.
