It's completely the opposite for Patrick Roy and the New York Islanders.
Without even playing yesterday, the Islanders drastically increased their chances of making the playoffs, notably with the losses of the Detroit Red Wings, the Philadelphia Flyers, and the Washington Capitals. (all in regular time, moreover)
It was a perfect evening for the Long Island team.
