Zachary Bolduc's Former Teammate Shares Impressive Take on Canadiens Trade

Positive comments continue to pour in following Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens' most recent offensive acquisition.
On July 1st, the St. Louis Blues confirmed they had traded forward Zachary Bolduc to the Canadiens in exchange for young defenseman Logan Mailloux.
Since then, praise for Bolduc has been plentiful, with the latest coming from another Quebec-born NHL forward.
Mathieu Joseph praises Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens' latest major acquisition: "He's going to be one heck of a hockey player"
Speaking to the media at Jonathan Huberdeau's golf tournament, Mathieu Joseph had nothing but good things to say about Kent Hughes' newest pickup.
"The Canadiens' new forward, Zachary Bolduc, is a pure scorer who has an 'elite'-level shot and is going to be one heck of a hockey player, said his former teammate, Mathieu Joseph, on Monday."

Joseph also added:
"I think we saw this year how much he developed from the start of the season to the end.
He's a good kid, he works hard, he really loves hockey, and he's a pure goal-scorer-his shot is just so good."

In any case, we're really excited to see him in action with the Canadiens.
Mathieu Joseph played with the St. Louis Blues in 2024-25, where he was obviously one of Zachary Bolduc's teammates, so he knows what he's talking about when commenting on the trade between Montreal and St. Louis.
In 60 games, Mathieu Joseph recorded 14 points, including four goals.
In 72 games, Zachary Bolduc tallied 36 points, including 19 goals.
It's also interesting to note that Joseph and Bolduc played together on the same line several times this season, often alongside center Oskar Sundqvist.
