It's starting to get serious between Jordan Kyrou and the Montreal Canadiens. The biggest development in this story in a very long time was just revealed in the last few hours, exclusively by Maxime Truman.
This is definitely major!
That said, one big question still remains..
Why would the St. Louis Blues agree to trade such a talented forward to a team like the Montreal Canadiens?
Once again, DLC has the answer.
Maxime Truman reveals the reason why the St. Louis Blues would trade Jordan Kyrou
According to his information, it's simply a matter of salary cap management.
"From what I've been told, there's a sense that Kyrou - the team's highest-paid player at $8.125 million per season - has peaked, and that guys like
Jimmy Snuggerud,
Jake Neighbours, and
Justin Carbonneau can fill Kyrou's role more effectively, and possibly at a lower cost."

That pretty much explains it.
It also shows that the Blues have great confidence in their young players and want to make room for them up front.
This could be a perfect opportunity for Kent Hughes to jump on immediately.
The 27-year-old forward, standing 6-foot-1 and weighing 200 pounds, has scored 36, 31, and 37 goals over the past three seasons!
There's definitely a lot of smoke here-and it now seems 100% confirmed that Kyrou is the top priority for Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton right now.
