The name Jordan Kyrou refuses to disappear from Montreal Canadiens trade rumors.

That's because several credible sources, including Chris Johnston (TSN), have recently confirmed that Hughes is still trying to acquire Kyrou.
He's seriously interested.
That said, what exactly are the St. Louis Blues asking for in return?

A St. Louis journalist names the two Montreal Canadiens players that interest GM Doug Armstrong in a potential Jordan Kyrou trade

And let's just say, his answer is very surprising.
"I Doubt he waives his No Trade Clause to go to Montreal and the only players Doug Armstrong would be interested in getting in return is probably Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield.

I don't see a match there right now.

- Thomas Welch, St. Louis journalist
Indeed, if the Blues are asking for either Nick Suzuki or Cole Caufield in return for Kyrou, we can immediately forget about the deal.
That might explain why the Canadiens and Blues ultimately settled for a trade involving only Zachary Bolduc and Logan Mailloux, even though it seemed like something much bigger was brewing.
On that note, I love the response from the awesome HabsOnReddit page.
It gave me a good laugh!
However, as reported earlier today by Maxime Truman of DansLesCoulisses, Jordan Kyrou is reportedly willing to waive his no-trade clause and say yes to a move to Montreal.
Jordan Kyrou, 27, is a 6-foot-1, 196-pound winger who was a 2nd-round pick (35th overall) by the St. Louis Blues in 2016.
He has tallied 332 points in 416 career NHL games, including 150 goals. This season, he posted 70 points in 82 games with the Blues.
Kyrou earns $8.125 million per year through 2031 - a solid contract.
