We got a surprise in the last few minutes live from Brossard, as Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Kris Letang was there.

It was pretty special.
Practically all the Canadiens players were training in Brossard-it was practically a regular team practice-and Kris Letang was there.
It was pretty special, but it's more normal to see Letang in Brossard in July, but two weeks before the start of training camp like this.. let's just say it's making waves!
See the footage.
Excellent work here from Pat Hockey!

Kris Letang takes part in Montreal Canadiens training in Brossard

We know he knows Kent Hughes very well, he seems to be developing nice chemistry with young Lane Hutson (as we can see in the footage above), but of course, we still expect Letang to eventually head back to Pittsburgh.
The Penguins would most likely be open to trading him, but the Canadiens don't have much room on defense right now, as youngsters Arber Xhekaj, Jayden Struble, and David Reinbacher are already three battling for the sixth and final available spot in the regular lineup.
At 38 years old, Kris Letang, a right-handed defenseman standing 6 feet and weighing 193 pounds from Montreal, collected 30 points in 74 games this season in Pittsburgh.
Last season, he had 51 points in 82 games, and he has accumulated 772 points in 1,161 career games in the National Hockey League.
