Unexpected Trade Pitch Between Canadiens and Golden Knights Emerges
The founder of the prestigious site PuckPedia, Hart Levine, has indeed just targeted an unexpected trade between the Montreal Canadiens and the Golden Knights.
Since the beginning of the week, the majority of NHL insiders have been talking about the upcoming Carey Price trade. And since the beginning of the week, pretty much everyone agrees that the three teams that could acquire the contract of number 31 are the San Jose Sharks, the Pittsburgh Penguins, and the Chicago Blackhawks.
That said, Levine has indeed just targeted another club.. An unexpected one, too!
A trade between the Montreal Canadiens and the Vegas Golden Knights involving Carey Price?
Here is an excerpt from the excellent article by Nicolas Cloutier (TVA Sports) on this subject.
And you don't have to watch only the teams close to the salary floor, like the San Jose Sharks, the Pittsburgh Penguins, and the Chicago Blackhawks.
"Take the St. Louis Blues: if they already intend to use long-term injured reserve with Torey Krug, acquiring Price doesn't make a huge difference for them," explains Levine.
"I'm not saying it would help them, but the difference would be quite negligible in the sense that you get a pick in return.
Same for the Vegas Golden Knights with Alex Pietrangelo on LTIR."

The Vegas Golden Knights and the St. Louis Blues are therefore two other possible destinations for Carey Price.
We strongly recommend his full article.
This is obviously good news, because the more teams are targeted for a trade involving Carey Price, the more options Kent Hughes will have.
It should also be remembered that it was precisely to the Vegas Golden Knights that Shea Weber's contract was traded in 2022 (for Evgeny Dadonov).
In this article by Nicolas Cloutier, we also learn the Canadiens could acquire a $4.6M forward!
Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton therefore have plenty of options!
