We were indeed treated to a nice surprise live from Brossard in the past few minutes. Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Kris Letang joined Ivan Demidov and other Montreal Canadiens players at the CN Sports Complex.

We love it.

It made for some really great visuals.
Patrik Laine and Joe Veleno were also on the ice with them.
Kris Letang, 38 years old, is a 6-foot, 193-pound right-shot defenseman.
A third-round pick by the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2005, he has tallied 772 points in 1,161 career NHL games, including 30 points in 74 games last season.
He is among several Penguins players currently involved in trade rumors.
Personally, I'm convinced that Letang could be a tremendous help to the Montreal Canadiens - both on and off the ice - but at the same time, there really isn't much room left on defense.
We already have Kaiden Guhle, Lane Hutson, Noah Dobson, Mike Matheson, and Alexandre Carrier with locked-in spots, meaning only one sixth defenseman slot is available.. a spot that will be contested between Arber Xhekaj, Jayden Struble, and David Reinbacher.
Even though there have been many rumors suggesting Letang would love to finish his career in Montreal, I just don't see how that could happen right now (unless there's a major injury on defense in Montreal).
And you - what's your opinion on all this?
More details to follow.
