Gary Bettman and the National Hockey League have just announced a major change regarding the broadcasting of NHL games on television.
DAZN Signs a Deal with Gary Bettman and the NHL to Stream Games Online
This, of course, includes Montreal Canadiens games, but they will only be accessible to fans outside of Canada (and the United States).
The NHL announced Wednesday morning an agreement with DAZN to stream its games starting in the 2025-26 season.
This agreement does not apply to the Canadian market.
However, nearly 200 countries - excluding Canada, the United States, and the Nordic countries - will have access to NHL games."

Stanley Cup Playoff games will also be broadcast on the platform.
Well, anything is possible in 2025 (as you know), but technically, fans of the Montreal Canadiens and the NHL will be able to watch their favorite team's games on DAZN - only outside of the countries mentioned above.
This could be useful for those who are tech-savvy, or simply for fans who are traveling and still want to catch NHL games.
It can only be a good thing - and one thing is certain, it also shows Gary Bettman's increasing commitment to moving NHL game broadcasts more and more online.
