Things Got Heated Between Florian Xhekaj and Kaiden Guhle on Day 1 of Canadiens Camp

It's officially underway - the 2025 Montreal Canadiens training camp live from Brossard. We have the first two groups on the ice, and several players to keep an eye on.
If Florian Xhekaj wants to pull off a surprise and start the season with the Montreal Canadiens, well, it starts right now.
And he clearly understands that!
Right from the first drills, he didn't hesitate to rough up a few veterans, including Kaiden Guhle:
There's another sequence where Guhle and Xhekaj went at it even harder than that, but this gives you an idea.
We love seeing that from young Xhekaj!
Florian Xhekaj Is on a Mission
During today's on-ice practice, it was obvious.. Florian Xhekaj was everywhere on the ice and he clearly wanted to send a message to Martin St-Louis, Kent Hughes, and his future teammates.
Could he pull off the surprise and start the season in Montreal?
We know the Canadiens considered calling him up at the end of last season, back in the spring, so nothing is impossible for Flo.
Florian Xhekaj, 21 years old, was listed (last we heard) at 6-foot-4 and 195 pounds, but that clearly seems to have changed.
Last season with the Laval Rocket, he collected 35 points in 69 games, including an impressive 24 goals in his AHL rookie season.
He also racked up 175 penalty minutes (in 69 games).
He's definitely a name to watch over the next few weeks!
