Thanks to the excellent work of Frank Well from Le Podcast Hockey and PatouInfo, we have the following footage.
Yes.. an intra-squad game this morning in Brossard!
Kaapo Kahkonen, 29, is a Finnish goaltender standing 6'2" and weighing 217 pounds. He was a 4th-round pick of the Minnesota Wild in 2014 (109th overall).
In his NHL career, he has compiled a record of 49 wins, 68 losses, and 15 overtime losses, with a goals-against average of 3.34 and a save percentage of .898.
He was a regular NHL goaltender from 2020 to 2024 and seems to have intriguing potential to help the Montreal Canadiens this season.
It was nice to see him on the ice in Brossard today.
