Nick Suzuki's partner has just confirmed a big rumour
In an interview for the Montreal Canadiens, Nick Suzuki's partner, Caitlin Fitzgerald, has just confirmed what we were thinking.
She was very generous with her time and answered many questions about herself, Suzuki, and their wonderful relationship.
She first talked about their meeting.
"We are both from London, Ontario. [] We knew each other a little because we had mutual friends. He lived out of town to play hockey, but we connected in 2016 or 2017 on Instagram and Snapchat, and we have been together since then." - Caitlin Fitzgerald
Yes, they have been a couple for quite a while! It's so beautiful to see.
She also talked about how Suzuki is a calm person in everyday life (just like on the ice), unsurprisingly.
"Does he do something that annoys you, and if so, what is it?
Yes! [laughs] He is really messy at home. He takes off his clothes and leaves them on the floor. I find piles of clothes next to the bed. But, when I ask him, he cleans it all up." - Caitlin Fitzgerald
Cole Caufield and Nick Suzuki: A Sincere Friendship, Even Off the Ice
Suzuki's girlfriend even confirmed what we were thinking about Caufield and the Canadiens' captain, even in their personal lives.
"Nick and Cole are close friends. You see their friendship from a different angle. What makes them get along so well?
Cole's personality really complements Nick's. Nick is very calm and laid-back, and Cole is really energetic and fun. I think their opposite personalities mix very well, and when they are together, it's like they are in their own world. They adore each other!"
A really interesting interview, and one we highly recommend.
