Monster 6-Foot-5 Canadiens Prospect Emerging as a Physical Force and Future Fan Favourite
Marc Dumont has just published a ranking of Kent Hughes' and the Canadiens' best acquisitions through the draft, among prospects still waiting to graduate.
Tyler Thorpe, another monster on the ice getting ready to arrive with the Montreal Canadiens
Thorpe, who was one of the big revelations at the most recent Montreal Canadiens development camp (along with Michael Hage, of course), is also a very physical player.
"The obvious strength of Thorpe is.. well, it's his strength.
He was almost always the biggest and strongest player on the ice during his time in the WHL, an advantage that allowed him to record 27 goals and 25 assists in 68 games last season, as well as three points in five playoff games."

Much like
Florian Xhekaj, he could (at minimum) be a solid fourth-line and playoff player for the Montreal Canadiens.
His former head coach, from the Vancouver Giants, even added that Thorpe was quite simply always the meanest and most feared player on the ice.
He commands respect, without a doubt!
Tyler Thorpe, 19, is a 6-foot-5, 215-pound forward who was a fifth-round pick of the Montreal Canadiens in 2024 (130th overall).
He collected 2 points in 1 game with the Laval Rocket last season, in addition to adding 52 points in 68 WHL games (69 penalty minutes).
