He thus becomes the first player in several weeks to be available for free. Meyer, 26 years old, is a right winger who has accumulated five points in 39 NHL games.
He also has 37 points, including 22 goals, in 55 games in the AHL. (26 points in 34 games last season) He had been productive in the NCAA. (31 points in 35 games in his last college season)
Speaking of personnel movement, let's recall the other one that was announced today. It involves the Montreal Canadiens.
Defenseman
Justin Barron has been recalled on an emergency basis from the Laval Rocket."

Barron, 22 years old, 6 feet 2 inches and 205 pounds, has 12 points in 41 games this season, including six goals. (a differential of -4) He added 11 points in 30 games with the Laval Rocket in the AHL.
