It's really starting to feel like hockey in Montreal. For the first time this season, we have tangible lineup news to report, as the Canadiens have just announced that young Jacob Fowler will be in net for them tomorrow.

Jacob Fowler Gets the Start Tomorrow at the Rookie Faceoff, Confirms the Montreal Canadiens

This is excellent news, and a pleasant surprise for Montreal Canadiens fans who will be in attendance.
The Habs didn't take long to make their decision..
Please also note a small change on the power play, as David Reinbacher is reclaiming his spot on the first unit.

PP2: Tuch - Rohrer - Thorpe
Mesar - Engström"

Here we go!
Jacob Fowler, 20 years old, is a 6-foot-2, 214-pound goaltender who was a 3rd-round pick by the Montreal Canadiens in 2023 (69th overall).
He signed his NHL entry-level contract with the Habs last spring, and he played 11 games with the Laval Rocket:
- Record of 2-1-0, goals-against average of 2.32 and save percentage of .914 in the regular season.
- Record of 3-3-0, goals-against average of 2.48 and save percentage of .902 in the AHL playoffs.
It remains to be seen if Fowler will play the entire game (tomorrow), but one thing is certain: he's getting the start, and I personally can't wait to see him in action.
