Here's news that will bring the greatest pleasure to Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens.
A major reinforcement is indeed about to arrive on defense within the Canadiens organization, as
David Reinbacher approaches a return to play.
"He's around the team and takes part in meetings," he said. "He's even going on the ice, so things are moving along well. We're seeing progress in his case.
So, I think things are going well under the circumstances. It's been a month and a day today [Monday] since he got injured. So, he's progressing just as the doctors had planned."

Don't be surprised if he's in uniform as early as this week for the Laval Rocket, and don't be surprised if he eventually joins the Montreal Canadiens as reinforcement (especially if
Arber Xhekaj continues to lose Martin St-Louis' trust).
This is a big development today!
Believe it or not, Kent Hughes faced some criticism for his selection of Reinbacher in 2023 and for his absolutely nonexistent desire to consider trading Reinbacher.
He has enormous faith in his young defenseman, so it's certainly great news for him to learn of the Austrian's imminent return to play.
Major reinforcement about to join the Laval Rocket (and possibly the Montreal Canadiens) with David Reinbacher
It looks like Reinbacher could return to play in the coming days, and possibly even within the next few hours!
David Reinbacher, 21 years old, is a 6-foot-3, 207-pound defenseman who has faced all kinds of injury troubles since being drafted by the Canadiens in 2023 at 5th overall.
Will this be the right time? Will he finally take flight?
