We've had some action and intensity over the past few minutes during the Montreal Canadiens rookie camp practice in Brossard.
I always get the feeling that some people think it's negative when we say that "things are getting heated" during practice, but it's actually the opposite!
We love to see it - we love when there's intensity and when the young players show character!
That's exactly what just happened live from Brossard between the young tough guys Florian Xhekaj and Tyler Thorpe.

A Nice Little Intense Sequence Between Florian Xhekaj and Tyler Thorpe
They are two of the power forwards in the Montreal Canadiens organization, and they could form a very interesting duo on a third or fourth line in the NHL eventually.
Thorpe, 20 years old, is a big forward at 6-foot-5 and 215 pounds who was a 5th-round pick by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2024 draft (130th overall).
He tallied 2 points in 1 game last season with the Laval Rocket.
Xhekaj, 21 years old, is a big forward at 6-foot-4 and 215 pounds who was a 4th-round pick by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2023 draft (101st overall).
He recorded 35 points in 69 games last season with the Laval Rocket, including 24 goals.
