Canadiens confirm surgery for Alex Newhook as Kaiden Guhle faces injury setback

We have two very bad last-minute pieces of news to announce to you. Alex Newhook and Kaiden Guhle will both be out long term.
Terrible news for Alex Newhook and Kaiden Guhle of the Montreal Canadiens
Here is the official statement just shared by the Canadiens:
"Forward Alex Newhook (fractured ankle) underwent surgery on Friday at the Montreal General Hospital. The surgery was performed by Dr. Greg Berry and he is expected to be out for 4 months.
Defenseman Kaiden Guhle (partially torn adductor muscle) underwent surgery Thursday in New York City. The surgery was performed by Dr. Mark Zoland and Guhle is expected to miss 8 to 10 weeks.

This is a massive blow for the Canadiens, especially since Guhle had started skating again and really seemed close to returning to play.
This is truly a brutal injury update! In Newhook's case, it was expected, but it still hurts the team a lot.
