Analyst suggests a one-for-one trade involving the Canadiens and Tage Thompson

In the past few hours, the excellent Marco D'Amico revealed major information involving Tage Thompson and the Montreal Canadiens.
According to his sources, which are always reliable, Kent Hughes and the Canadiens actually contacted the Buffalo Sabres to try to acquire the big center Thompson!
Following that, an interesting trade proposal was discussed on BPM Sports.
Proposal: To the Montreal Canadiens, the big center Tage Thompson, in exchange for Juraj Slafkovsky
Here's an excerpt from Max Lalonde's (BPM Sports) statement on the subject:
"If Kevyn Adams says yes to that (Slafkovsky for Thompson), I'll drive Slaf to Buffalo myself!

Slafkovsky for Thompson, one-for-one, that's something to really think about!
Tage Thompson, 28 years old, is a big center standing 6 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 220 pounds. He was a first-round pick by the St. Louis Blues in 2016.
He has 12 points in 15 games this season, after posting a very solid 72 points in 76 games last season - including 44 goals!
