Last night, Montreal Canadiens forward Kirby Dach was given a four-minute penalty after apparently saying something the officials didn't like.

It is a gesture that was directly criticized by head coach Martin St-Louis in a press conference after the game.

But what exactly did Dach say? It must be said that normally, to get such a penalty, it takes a lot, because the referees are used to hearing what is said on the ice.

Review the sequence in question

Dach received a first penalty for his action on Brady Tkachuk, and then a second penalty for what he said to the official.

According to the (self-proclaimed) lip-reading experts, Dach called the referee a "Bi**ch", which would explain the additional penalty for abuse of officials.

Referees are used to hearing things following their decisions, but apparently Dach went too far on this one.

Kirby was right to be frustrated, but he probably should have stayed a little more "politically correct".

Do you think the officiating was good yesterday?
