Earlier today, Montreal Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes was at a press conference and, as usual, he was very transparent:
He was asked about a possible trade involving Pierre-Luc Dubois, to bring him to Montreal, and he had a reaction that speaks volumes:
In addition to answering questions about Jeff Petry and Pierre-Luc Dubois, Hughes had (once again) to give some news about Carey Price.
Check out what he had to say today about his star goalie:
"Carey Price has a doctor's visit scheduled in Montreal later this month. He's not quite back to regular practice yet. No real news as to his status," Kent Hughes said. The real test is once he's on the ice." - Kent Hughes, via Eric Engels
"Carey Price will meet with doctors by the end of the month to find out a little more about the condition of his knee. It's also possible that Paul Byron will miss the start of training camp, but nothing is certain on that front." - Renaud Lavoie
So we see that there are still a lot of question marks regarding the Tricolore's number 31.
We'll obviously know more about Carey's condition at this point after this meeting with the doctors. He will receive another injection of PRP, he will start his summer training and when he returns to the ice, it will be the ultimate test.
It will be important to monitor that. More details will follow in a few days/weeks...
