In the last few seconds, two players have been placed in the National Hockey League waivers and are now available for free.

Anton Blidh of the Colorado Avalanche and Dryden Hunt of the Toronto Maple Leafs are currently up for grabs.

In 13 games this season, Blidh has not collected a single point in Colorado (12 career points). As for Hunt, he has played in New York and Colorado this year, in addition to Toronto. He has three points in 37 games (43 career NHL points).

Both are 27 years old.

Hunt hasn't played in the AHL since 2019 (30 points in 35 games) and is certainly the more interesting of the two. He is a very energetic player and always appreciated by his head coaches.

Let's remember of course that the Montreal Canadiens really need to fill some jerseys right now, so this will be something to watch.

More details to come.

"The CH might be paying attention during the next waiver wire, will have to fill jerseys in Montreal!

It may also open the door to acquire 1 or a few undesirable contracts that end at the end of the current season while getting back an interesting asset!" - Marc-Olivier Beaudoin
