Even though the first part of 2021 and the last part are rather dark for the Montreal Canadiens, what happened in the middle left an impression on fans. We're obviously talking about the playoffs, or more of the series against the Toronto Maple Leafs, where something has started.
The powerful duo, consisting of Dany Dubé and Martin McGuire, who have been describing the CH's games on the 98.5 Sports for several years, spoke out on this subject before closing the year 2021. The comeback against the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2021 series is the most significant event for the CH in the past year.
«For me, it's the Maple Leafs. When it started there, I said : There's something going on.»
"Me and Martin, we have this complicity over the years. We talked to each other off the air. We thought, "Okay. Now they're dangerous." I was fascinated by this series," said Dany Dubé.
Paul Byron's goal against the Leafs was also a strong one, but Artturi Lehkonen's goal, the one on June 24, also pointed to the Montreal Canadiens' history book. For McGuire, this is the time of year 2021 for the Red, White, and Blue.
«Of course, the goal of June 24! For me, this goal will remain a magical goal for a very long time," said McGuire.
Let's face it, it remains difficult to persist the powerful duo on this subject since it is pretty much on the mark concerning the most beautiful moments of the CH in 2021.
