The Montreal Canadiens did not have the kind of success they had hoped for in the various drafts of the 2000s. On top of that, the CH had a lot of difficulty developing its players within their organization.
Many first round picks such as
Jarred Tinordi,
Michael McCarron, Nikita Scherbak and Nathan Beaulieu never got the results they wanted on the Bettman circuit.
That's why the Canadiens hired Rob Ramage as Director of Player Development in July 2017. The former player who played 1044 games in the NHL was a recruiter with the St-Louis Blues before joining the Habs.
The one who won the Stanley Cup with the Canadiens in 1993 is excellent with the young players of the team according to Jocelyn Thibault.
«The Canadiens' hopes are in good hands with Rob Ramage,» said Hockey Québec's general manager at 91.9 Sports.
The Canadiens are one of the worst teams for drafted players who have played games in the NHL. It must therefore be said that the work of Mr.Ramage is essential while the base of a team comes from the development of the players.
Let's hope that the work accomplished will continue in the same vein as many hopes are growing and are at the gates of the NHL. Do you think Rob Ramage is part of the solution in Montreal?
