Goaltender Michael McNiven came out publicly about two months ago, to mentioned that the Laval Rocket had forced him to play despite an injury.

Now after nine games played in Laval, the goalkeeper really does not know the expected results while he has an average of goals-against of 3.95 and an efficiency rate of 0.867%.

McNiven is struggling to give his team a chance to win as he has only had three wins since the start of the year. This is one of the reasons coach Jean-François Houle chose Cayden Primeau in front of his team's net.

Journalist Anthony Marcotte, who covers the Rocket's activities, gave the team's players grades today.

Unsurprisingly, the goalie ended up with the worst grade, a «C-». The 24-year-old who still hasn't played a game in the NHL has a lot to do before going back to the goaltending chart in Montreal.

At the top of the list, we find forward Laurent Dauphin with a rating of «A». The Quebecer has 16 points in 18 parts in the AHL and is now starting to make his place with the Canadiens. He is closely followed by Jesse Ylonen, who has an «A-» on him.

Going back to McNiven, it will be interesting to see how he will rebound after a tough start to the season. He will however be the Canadiens' fourth goaltender as Carey Price approaches a return to action.
