After a few days of controversy, it is now over. The Robin Lehner saga is over, as the Golden Knights organization has finally announced that the goalie's season is over.
He will have surgery. For the official release:
"Robin Lehner will undergo shoulder surgery and miss the remainder of the 2021-22 season. Robin has done his best to battle this injury, which he sustained on February 9, and we were hopeful that rest and rehabilitation would allow him to finish the season.
He rehabbed first and was able to return to play on March 1. At times, rest and rehab worked, but ultimately Robin, in consultation with the team's medical staff, determined that was the best course of action." - Vegas Golden Knights
The Golden Knights have recalled Jiri Patera from Henderson. (AHL)
