Shane Wright is a 17-year-old phenom who had 66 points, including 39 goals, in 58 duels in his rookie season in the OHL. At the time, he was only 15 years old, so imagine that! This year he has 30 points in 22 games.
Wright remains the number one pick in the upcoming NHL draft, which will be held in Montreal. It is unequivocal that he will be the first to be called on the podium, and if the Montreal Canadiens continue to do so, Wright could end up in Montreal.
In fact, the young man, during a warm-up last weekend, was courted by a fan, who presented him with his potential new colors.
Here is a picture that says it all. Wright sent a nice smile to the fan, showing that he was certainly open to putting on the jersey.
If Jeff Gorton and his GM ever get a hold of Wright, the face of the franchise would change quickly. We are talking about an exceptional, dynamic playmaker with a lightning shot. Like Nathan MacKinnon and Connor McDavid, there is no easy way to stop him.
For the moment, it's just a dream, but it doesn't cost anything to dream, do we agree?
