In the last few minutes, the excellent Eric Engels, who covers the Montreal Canadiens for Sportsnet, has just revealed some very interesting information about Kirby Dach.
"As I just mentioned on the air with @MartinLemay at @bpmsportsradio, Elliotte Friedman and I have been checking in on Kirby Dach's status over the past week, and all indications are that one of the options being discussed is a 4-year contract at about $3.5 million a year. I won't be surprised if that's where it lands." - Eric Engels
This is really interesting. We finally have a number and a term, and it looks like it's really headed in that direction.
Would a four-season contract for Kirby Dach, and a $3.5 million annual value ($14 million total), be a good deal for Montreal, in your opinion?
