Nicolas Aube-Kubel drops the Stanley Cup and it gets dented

We didn't have to wait very long to hear about the damaged Stanley Cup this season, thanks to Colorado Avalanche forward Nicolas Aube-Kubel, who managed to damage it before the team photo was even taken.
Aube-Kubel was understandably excited at the time and as he skated up to his teammates with the Stanley Cup to gather for the team photo, he fell down taking the Holy Grail of hockey with him.
Although the Avalanche players do their best to hide it by turning the cup on its side, immediately after the fall you could see that the bottom part of the cup was actually dented and maybe more too.
This is probably not how Nicolas Aube-Kubel would have wanted his time with the Stanley Cup to begin.
