According to TSN's Frank Seravalli, the Montreal Canadiens have their eyes set on young Russian forward Vitali Kravtsov of the New York Rangers.
Recall that the 21-year-old forward was demoted to the Rangers' AHL team, a situation that Kravtsov refused outright. The ninth pick of the 2018 draft would be on the trade market for a little while. As a result, he and the organization decided it was best for him to go play in the KHL until he was traded.
The Traktor Chelyabinsk club's property in the KHL didn't miss his debut.
He collected two goals and an assist in his first game, including this great goal:
There is no lack of talent on Kravtsov's side, but it seems that he doesn't fit in the Rangers organization?
A new start would be welcome for him and the Habs are sorely lacking in offensive punch, could we see an ideal marriage? At the right price, the young 6-foot-3 winger would be a very interesting bet.
