It's going to be a very special night for Quebecer Phillip Danault, as he makes his return to the Bell Centre for the first time since leaving the Habs. Number 24 left via the free agent market last July. Danault is likely to receive a shock treatment from Montreal fans tonight, that much is clear.
However, a few boos were never as upsetting as a former teammate who is on your case constantly. Brendan Gallagher, former trio partner and good friend of Phillip Danault, made a promise to number 24. He will make his job really hard.
In other words, Gallagher told Danault that his job will be greatly hindered, in honor of their friendship. Number 11 will do everything in his power to win tonight's game, at the expense of his friendship with Danault.
Danault had a big night of work last night against the Toronto Maple Leafs with three points, including two goals. There's no doubt he'll want to pick up where he left off yesterday, but in order to do so, he'll need to break free of the number 11 coverage.
