Major announcement from the Philadelphia Flyers regarding Daniel Briere

In the last few seconds, renowned Elliotte Friedman announced some big news.
A few days after the trade deadline, the Philadelphia Flyers have fired their GM, Chuck Fletcher, and former Montreal Canadien, Daniel Brière, will replace him.
"Whoa! Daniel Brière is the new (interim) GM of the Flyers! One more Quebecer leading an NHL team!!" - Marc-Olivier Beaudoin
According to the official statement, Brière is indeed the new interim GM of the Flyers, for the moment. However, this could quickly change, and we absolutely expect the term "interim" to be removed this summer.
It is worth recalling that Daniel Brière was among the finalists to become the general manager of the Montreal Canadiens a little over a year ago when Kent Hughes was hired.
He finally gets his chance, and it will be in Philadelphia!
We are eager to see him in action, especially since he is a former Hab and a proud Quebecer.
More details will follow.
This is big news this morning!
