We have an important waiver announcement for the Montreal Canadiens and for general manager Kent Hughes.
Because we've just learned that Quebec defenseman
William Trudeau is NOT leaving the Montreal Canadiens organization!
Following today's NHL announcements regarding waiver movements, we have indeed learned that Trudeau was not claimed, which is obviously excellent news.
Following these announcements, general manager Kent Hughes has therefore made a move and sent Trudeau to the Laval Rocket.

Pascal Vincent's squad therefore gets some major reinforcement on defense.
William Trudeau, aged 23, is a left-shot Quebec defenseman standing 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing 205 pounds, who was a 4th-round pick by the Montreal Canadiens in 2021.
He collected 19 points in 68 games last season with the Laval Rocket, with a solid positive plus/minus rating of +14.
