Martin St-Louis Loses His Cool on Young Defensemen Live From Practice in Front of Everyone
It really looks like the same story is repeating itself with Montreal Canadiens defenseman Jayden Struble.
It's been the same thing for three straight seasons.
1. Struble starts out as the 7th defenseman, behind
Arber Xhekaj!
2. Struble gets his chance, plays very well, earns Martin St-Louis' trust, and takes Xhekaj's spot.
3. Struble starts slipping, and Xhekaj wins his spot back.
This cycle has been repeating for three years now (or close to it), and it seems like we've already reached the third stage once again.
After clearly passing Arber Xhekaj on the depth chart, Struble now seems to be seriously disappointing Martin St-Louis.
Martin St-Louis Loses Patience With Jayden Struble in Front of Everyone, Live From Brossard, During Canadiens Practice
It's very rare to see Martin St-Louis act this way, so he must have really had enough!
"Martin St-Louis, unhappy, calls Jayden Struble to order after a battle with Xhekaj. No compromises at practice."
- Anthony Martineau, TVA Sports
I'm really looking forward to seeing what happens when
Kaiden Guhle is ready to return!
Will it be Arber Xhekaj or Jayden Struble who ends up in the press box?
Arber, 24 years old, is a 6-foot-4, 240-pound left-handed defenseman with 1 point in 10 games this season, 15 penalty minutes, and a -2 rating.
Struble, 24 years old, is a 6-foot, 207-pound left-handed defenseman with 2 points in 7 games this season, 2 penalty minutes, and a +3 rating.
